Louella Granberg Obituary
Granberg, Louella R. Thelen Mayer 103 years. Born July 27th, 1906 in Velva, ND during Theodore Roose- velt's Presidency and entered her heavenly home on March 10th, 2010 in Robbinsdale, MN. Louella was preceded in death by her parents, Amelia and Andrew Thelen; brothers, William and Nicholas Thelen; and husbands, Roger F. Granberg and Henry C. Mayer (father of her sons). Louella is survived by her sons, Donald (Louise), John "Jack" (Betty), and David (Jane) Mayer. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 20 great- grandchildren. In addition she has many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a host of friends at Ridgepointe and Freedom Pointe. Louella grew up in Houlton, WI. After her marriage to Henry Mayer, Louella lived in Wayzata, MN. She married Roger Granberg and they retired to Laguna Hills, CA. After Roger died, Louella returned to Minnesota and lived at Ridgepointe in Minnetonka for 18 years and then moved to Freedom Pointe in Minnetonka, MN until her departure to Heaven. Mom, Grandma, and Aunt, Louella was a "Classy Lady" who is loved and will be missed by many. Louella was a lifetime member of the order of The Eastern Star. Visitation 10 AM with Celebration of Life at 11 AM, Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, MN 55391.
