Lucille Viltoft Obituary Viltoft, Lucille Anne, born December 18, 1926 in Minneapolis, MN and passed surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Lucille graduated from Washburn High School in 1944 and in 1948 from the University of Minnesota, majoring in Humanities. During her studies she worked for the Dean who devised the original MMPI tests. She married Jorgen Viltoft in 1950 and was his true life mate. Lucille had a love of the Arts and volunteered with the Boys and Girls Club, Twin Cities Opera Guild, WAMSO, (Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra), and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. She and Jorgen were members of Wayzata Community Church for 42 years, and she volunteered countless hours in the Book Room during their annual rummage sale. After Jorgen retired, they traveled all over the world with gourmet food group friends. They were both gracious hosts, entertaining in their home with great food and stories. Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jorgen, as well as her parents and all of her siblings. She is survived by her daughter Christine Andersen, her husband John, and her two sons Lars and Thomas Groth in Denmark; her daughter Linda Gammon, her husband Dan, and their daughter Lesley Gammon and son Jeffrey Gammon; her daughter Karen Rosicka, her husband Joe and their daughter Jennifer Rosicka and son Joey Rosicka, and her son Steven Viltoft, his wife Anne, and their son Jorgen Viltoft. We grieve the passing of our mother, she will be greatly missed. The family is grateful for the outstanding care provided to Lucille by Ridgeview Home Health Care, Baywood Home Health Care, and the Ridgeview Hospice Home.
