Malcolm Pfunder Obituary
Pfunder, Malcolm G. Born November 11, 1919 in Miles City, Montana and died May 28, 2008 at his home in Deephaven. Graduate from Washburn High School in 1938, Harvard University, BS degree Cum Laude in 1942, and Harvard Business School, MBA degree in 1947. Served in the US Army Air Force from 1942-1945. Trust officer at Northwestern National Bank of Minneapolis, 1947 to 1982, retiring as Senior Vice President. Formerly President of the Minikahda Club and the Citizens League, Treasurer and Director of the Minnesota Orchestral Association, Trustee of the Northrup Collegiate School, Vice President and Director of the Family and Children's Services, Secretary, Treasurer and Director of the Sumner T. McKnight Foundation. Married Helen M. Wash on June 12, 1943 who preceded him in death on September 5, 2005. He is survived by his children, Malcolm R. Pfunder and Elizabeth G. Pfunder Whittlesey; grandchildren, Peter and Douglas Whittlesey, Nicholas and Graeme Pfunder; sister, Edna Mae Carlson. Memorial service Wednesday June 4 at 2 PM at St. Martins by- the-Lake Episcopal Church, 2801 Westwood Road, Minnetonka Beach with reception to follow at the church.
