Margarette Appleby Obituary Appleby, Margarette S. (Monson) age 79 of Minneapolis passed away peacefully Christmas Day at home after a long battle with pulmonary hypertension. Retired after 45 years as a Sr. Social Worker at Hennepin County Child and Family Services. Survived by son, Kevin Appleby, Minneapolis; sister, Kati Casida (John), Berkeley, CA; former husband, Cal Appleby (Laurie Savran), Minneapolis. Preceded in death by parents, Gerhard and Elouise Monson, La Crosse, WI. Memorial service 2PM Sunday, January 8th at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the Minneapolis Animal Humane Society.
