Marit Tiller Obituary Tiller, Marit Espenes Marit passed away peacefully on October 30, 2014 at age 87 in Tucson, AZ. Marit came to the US from Norway and on the ship she met Ragnar who was also from Norway. In less than a year, they were married. She was a nurse/midwife and Ragnar a Mechanical Engineer. She was hired as a nanny for a wealthy family in Wayzata, while Ragnar was employed by International Multifoods. Marit was also known as "the Pappagallo lady" when she owned the Pappagallo Shoe Store in Wayzata, MN. Preceded in death by husband Ragnar, and son, Espen. Survived by daughter, Annebeth Burgess and husband Dennis; daughter-in-law, Kim Tiller; grandchildren, Erik and Kage Tiller; step-grandchildren, DJ (Jane), RJ (Jolene), and Molly Burgess and Beth Irvine; 10 great-step-grand-children; and one great-great-grandchild Judah; as well as nephews and nieces in Canada and Norway. Memorial service 10:00 AM Monday, December 22, 2014 at Wayzata Community Church, 125 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, MN 55391. Memorials may be directed to the church.
