Marjorie Schmidt Obituary Schmidt, Marjorie Lorraine (nee Naley) 88, of Kennesaw, GA died on October 23 of complications from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Marjorie, daughter of Magnus and Manda Naley was born on April 8, 1923 in the Township of Leota in Nobles County, Minnesota. Marjorie worked for many years in the Mound/Wayzata school system and was one of the founding members and a church secretary at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wayzata. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerrit Daniel Schmidt and her daughter, Virginia Schmidt Poorker. She is survived by her granddaughters, Kristin Alberto of Kennesaw, GA and Bonnie Taylor of Cumming, GA; her grandsons, Tommy Taylor and Mark Taylor and his wife, Shelly Taylor; her great-granddaughter, Bronte Taylor and her great-grandson, Ross Taylor, all of Marietta, GA. Private family interment Mound Union Cemetery.
