Marjorie Speier Obituary born 1-7-29 in Pittsburgh, PA. Passed away 8-1-15. Preceded in death by parents, Jacob and Helen Hartmann; brother, Thomas; and husband, Hugo. Chemist for the Minneapolis Heath Dept. for 35 years, then employed by the Excelsior Library for 10 years. Active member of Minneapolis Women's Rotary, Minnetonka Arts Center, Our Savior Lutheran Church, Excelsior. Enjoyed sewing, quilting, weaving, reading, traveling, and spending time with her many friends. Survived by step-children, Susan Speier, Hugo (Tip) and Linda Speier, Charles and Nancy Speier, Barbara and Bruce Laabs, treasured grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and brother, Jack. Memorials preferred to the Minnesota Arboretum or the Our Savior Lutheran Quilting Circle. Visitation Sunday, Aug. 9 at 12:30 PM, followed by brief service at 1:30 PM at the David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, MN.
