Mark Lohmann Obituary Age 80, of Wayzata, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2017 with his wife of 58 years Marilyn and his family by his side. Born in Minneapolis on November 2, 1936, Mark attended high school in Ortonville, MN and graduated in 1958 from St. Johns University in Collegeville, MN. He earned degrees in economics and business management and played baseball, football and hockey. He married Marilyn in 1959 in New York City. Mark and Marilyn moved to St. Cloud, MN where he worked at Liturgical Press at St. Johns University, then to Ortonville, MN where he worked at Lohmann Motors. He continued his career in the auto business at Lohmann Motors in Miles City, Montana where he and his family lived for 18 years. Mark loved Montana and all it has to offer. He lived the majority of the past 30 years in Buffalo, MN and worked at several auto dealerships in the Twin Cities metro area. A devoted husband and loving father, he was also an avid sports fan closely following his beloved Johnnies, Gopher hockey, and Twins baseball. He was fond of playing golf, but his greatest joys in life were the times spent with family and friends. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly. Mark spent the last 15 years of his life battling recurring non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, ultimately succumbing to an unrelated glioblastoma multiforme brain cancer. He was preceded in death by infant daughter Michelle and mother and father, Frances E. (Barry) and Stanford D. Lohmann. In addition to his wife Marilyn, Mark is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Lohmann, Therese Lohmann, Carolyn Taylor, Amy (Jerry) Smith, Allison (Matt) Gruhn and Bethany (David) Slack; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Chelsey (Brandon) Werth and children Riah, Thaddaeus, Henrietta, and Francis, Lauren (Chris) Hoeschen and son, Easton, Jack, Mark and Will Taylor, Madison and Gabrielle Gruhn, Taylor and Hunter Slack; brother, John Lohmann and sister, Mary Findlay. The family would like to thank caregiver Famatta Mary and also the Park Nicollet Hospice Team for excellent care.
