Mark Pearson Obituary Mark Andrew Pearson died last Saturday, June 4th, 2016, at the age of fifty-
six in his home from extended heart-related ailments. Mark spent most of his childhood in St. Louis Park, MN. He graduated high school from The Blake School in 1978. Mark attended college at Redlands University in California and University of Wisconsin - Madison for the first three years, and finally received his Bachelors Degree in Business from Concordia University in the 1980s. He married Stephanie Phillipps Pearson in 1993, and they had their first child, Kathryn, in 1997; their second child, Kristin, was born in 2001. Mark was an entrepreneur who ran a string of successful businesses his whole life; his most recent establishment was Excel Pawn & Jewelry, with four locations located throughout the metro area. Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Pearson, who passed November 2014. Mark is survived by his father, Curtis Pearson, his siblings, Charles Pearson, Curtis Pearson Jr, Todd Pearson, Lizanne Larsen, the mother of his children, Stephanie Pearson, and by his children, Kathryn and Kristin Pearson. Mark will be cremated by David Lee Funeral Home, and the family visitation will be held at 1:30pm on Monday, June 13th, at Westwood Lutheran Church, 9001 Cedar Lake Rd, St. Louis Park. The official service for Mark will begin at 2:00 pm. A quarter of his remains will be buried alongside his mother in Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis, a quarter of the remains will be spread over his farmland in Lac Qui Parle County, another quarter spread in Shell Lake, WI where he owned a cabin, and the last quarter will be placed in the ocean. Mark was a humorous and
generous man who would not expect the living to dwell on his death, but to laugh and find happiness in his celebration of life. The family is still in shock from the early, unexpected death of Mark, but is doing well and is beginning the process of restoring normalcy to their lives after such a tragic loss.
