Kinney, Mary Reid of Wayzata, Minn. Born - Pollockshaws, Glasgow, Scotland October 20, 1913, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2012. Preceded in death by her parents, Isabella Bain and Matthew Reid, sisters Jeanie Donovan and Isabella Frost and her son E. Robert Kinney, Jr.. Survived by: Children: Jeanie Small (Bill), and Isabella Keating (Stephen) Grandchildren: Samantha Leone (Anthony), Jennifer Bill (Sean), Mari Reid Kinney, Peter Bain(Suzanne), Stephen A. Keating (Anne), Jessica D. Keating and Robert Kinney III. Great-grandchildren: Amber Kinney, Joseph Kinney, Andrew Leone, Kaleigh Leone, Katie Bill, Lucy Keating, Jonathan Bill, Molly Keating, Grayson Bain and Mateo Bain and her cat Martha of 13 years. Mary graduated from Central Maine Nursing College in 1936 and trained in pediatrics at N.Y. Foundling Hospital. She was on the staff of Central Maine General Hospital. In her own words, Nursing was a joy, and I spent many years volunteering at hospitals in Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota and Florida. The family would like to express their thanks to nurses Becky Frederick, Kelly Jacques, Kerry Colquette, Barb Sipe, Sheri Andrews, companions Marianne Kroke and Debbie Ingvalson, and especially to her wonderful angel, Mary Jo Belisle. Mary will be remembered by friends and family for living her life to the fullest. She had in her heart the following words: And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. Psalm 55, Verse 6. In lieu of flowers, Mary wished to support the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum or the Animal Humane Society. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
