Michael Hatfield Obituary Hatfield Michael Baker Hatfield, age 34. Beloved son of Nancy Baker Hatfield and M.A. Hatfield, passed away on August 1, 2005 in his home. Mike grew up in Hadley Hills in Plymouth. He graduated from Blake School with honors where he was active in many school projects. He and his friend Jeff were the best debate team in the region-their team finished 2nd place in the National Debate Tournament. Mike attended Dartmouth College in Hanover. From an early age it became apparent that Mike's goals in life were to care for people less fortunate than he. When he was a Junior at Blake, he traveled to Africa to aide scientists performing medical work in the deepest jungle-all they had to eat there was millet. Mike was employed as the supervising manager of three apartment buildings in Richfield. Mike is survived by parents; his older brother Mark and his wife Sharon, and their son Sammy. Mike and Sammy bonded so tightly from the beginning that Mike provided most of his toys. Funeral service Saturday August 6, 2005 1 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata with visitation 1 hour before funeral. Entombment at Lakewood Cemetery.
