Michael Stefanski Obituary Stefanski, Michael George, of Plymouth, MN, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at the age of 64. Mike is survived by his wife, Shirley; brother, David (Annyea Berg) Stefanski; brother-in-law, Hurly (Carol) Morris; niece, Lori (Tom) Bents; nephews, Mark (Debbie) Morris and Todd (Ramona) Morris. He was preceded in death by his parents; aunts, Eileen Hendricks and Theresa Stefanski; sister, Sandra Morris and cousin, John Hendricks. Mike was born on May 13, 1952 in Fairmont, MN to George and Dorothy (Driscoll) Stefanski. He graduated from Winnebago High School in 1970 and attended college at Southwest Minnesota State University and Minnesota State University, Mankato. Mike was employed in construction industry sales for 28 years. In 2001 Mike suffered a debilitating stroke but was able to recover to lead an independent life. Following his stroke recovery, he volunteered at the North Memorial Stroke Center and for the University of Minnesota Physical Therapy Program. His final challenge was a six-year battle with melanoma cancer. A memorial gathering will be scheduled in the near future.
