Miles Thompson Obituary
Passed away at the age of 82 from prostate cancer. He was privately educated in England at the home of his great-grand- mother's sister, Victoria Woodhull, as well as the Boarding school in NYC, St Marks School in Massachusetts and University of Minnesota. In NYC he was employed by Chubb & Son, and Reynolds and Co. He later joined the Hazelden Foundation in 1977, both as a patient and later as an executive. His affiliation with them continued until his death. He was also affiliated with Bullis Insurance in Wayzata for over 16 years. He later retired from the Hazelden Foundation in 1994. He is survived by his beloved wife and companion, Wanda; his son, John Miles Thompson II (Vivian); his grandchildren, Devon and Oliver; stepchildren, Nels, Angela, Laurie and Pamela. His memberships included Sons of Revolution and Fellowship Club of St. Paul. Service will be held Wednesday, July 27th at 11:00 am with one hour visitation prior at Messiah United Methodist Church, 17805 County Road 6, Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family or church.
