Nancy Lee Voss

Nancy Lee Voss, age 82, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2026.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roberta and Howard Zimmerman. Nancy was their only child and the apple of their eye, a cherished daughter whose family meant everything to her.

Nancy was married to Donald Voss, who preceded her in death in January 2022. Together, they built a life filled with family, memories, and many special moments.

Nancy worked for the Wayzata School District for 17 years, where she was a valued member of the school community.

Nancy was a devoted mother to her only daughter, Mary Bodkins, and her husband, Carl, of Marco Island, Florida. She was a loving grandmother to her two grandsons, Parker Lee Bodkins of the Dallas-Fort Worth area and Riley Bodkins and his wife, Bella, of the Miami area. Her family brought her tremendous joy, and she treasured the time she was able to spend with them.

Following Donald’s passing, Nancy became a resident of Haven Homes in Maple Plain. It quickly became much more than a place to live—it became a community she loved. Nancy was active with the residents, formed meaningful friendships, and was dearly loved by the staff and those around her.

Nancy had a wonderful zest for life. She loved to travel, especially when traveling with her daughter. She enjoyed camping and antiquing, and her love of antiques could be seen throughout her beautiful home in Maple Plain, which was filled with pieces she had collected and treasured over the years.

And if there was one thing Nancy never turned down, it was a little sunshine. During the summers at Haven Homes, she could often be found sitting outside in the sun, enjoying the warmth and getting her much-loved summer tan. It was one of the simple pleasures that made her happy.

Nancy will be remembered for her love of family, her appreciation for the simple joys of life, her beautiful home filled with treasures, and the friendships she made wherever she went. She leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Maple Plain Community Church, with a reviewal beginning one-half hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial, where Nancy will be laid to rest beside her parents and her beloved husband, Donald.

Nancy loved flowers, and those wishing to honor her memory may make a memorial donation to the charity of their choice.
