Patricia Rogers Obituary
Rogers, Patricia Jane 55, died on October 30, 2008. Daughter of deceased parents, Patrick and Alice Rogers. Survived by siblings, James (Jacqueline), John (Lois), Mary (Peter), Margaret (Thomas), Thomas, Daniel (Mary Ann), nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and friends from Hammer Residences. Patty's life was a celebration: she loved music, dancing, telling her legendary riddles, kissing babies, and playing the harmonica. She loved cheering for Notre Dame, the Minnesota Twins, and watching Baywatch and The Love Boat. Until she was afflicted with Alzheimer's disease, Patty never forgot a birthday and would call and sing Happy Birthday to all her friends and family on their special days. These calls exemplified her sweetness and her sense of fun. This gentle nature was nurtured by the wonderful people who were her friends and caregivers at Queensland and Hammer Residences and at Opportunity Partners and Community Involvement Program. Patty was a poet and a pray-er and she died surrounded by her family and friends. Visitation at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus (155 County Rd 24, Medina) Monday, November 3, 2008, 3-5 PM, with Mass of Christian Burial, 5 PM, followed by supper. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials sent to Hammer Residences, 1909 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata MN 55391. David Lee Funeral Home Wayzata 952-473-5577
