Patricia Strong Obituary Strong, Patricia Sharpe Courtney age 81 of Wayzata, died on October 20, 2011 after a long illness. Preceded in death by her parents, Erna and George Conroy, and her husbands, George D. Dayton III and Ruxton R. Strong. Survived by her children Jeffrey Winchell Dayton, Patricia Dayton (Curt) Warfield, Ralph McDonald (Sarah) Dayton, Grace Dayton (Jerome) Contro and Anthony Wilson (Monica) Strong, and her stepchildren, Michael and Laura Strong. Grandchildren Carolyn, Brenner, Kenna and Kessler Dayton, Chadwick and Julia Warfield, Abigail, Alexander and Austin Dayton, Marina and Gabriella Contro, Dayton and Wilson Strong. She was a graduate of Summit School and attended Skidmore College. Patty was a consummate volunteer and community servant, with almost 60 years membership in the Jr. League of Mpls. She was a gifted writer and author, having written plays for the Children's Theatre. With 3 of her Skidmore friends she founded the LeagueAires, a community outreach singing group. She loved to cook, planning and executing numerous food events for friends, family and the many organizations she was involved in. Patty was a beautiful, vivacious woman who had many friends. A memorial service will be held at St. Martin's by-the-Lake Church in Minnetonka Beach (2801 Westwood Road) on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 2:00 pm. Reception immediately following.
