Age 83 of Wayzata, passed away surrounded by family on Feb 24. Born Nov 27, 1932. Preceded in death by parents Leo and Madelyn and sister Mary Lee Fritzner (Carl). Survived by former wife Sharon and 8 children; Leo, Theresa (Bob Hughes), Tim, Kevin, Bridget Norton (Mike), Mary (Joel Suhl), Meghan Phimister (Gene) and Sheila Flanders (John); 8 grandchildren, Patrick, Leah (Jen), Rachel, Melissa, Madison, Michael, Jason and Sean; and 2 great grandchildren Ainsley and Harlowe. Also survived by sister-in-law Linda Hansen and nieces and nephews. Pat was a proud Wayzata resident, class of 1951 who still met monthly with his classmates. After serving in the Korean War Pat met Sharon Connelly and married in 1958. His career as a chef led him to work at the Athletic Club, Radisson Hotel, Lafayette Club, Golden Valley Club and retiring from Honeywell. Pat spent his retirement volunteering with the Knights of Columbus and VFW in Pine City where he lived for 20 years. Pat was an easy going Irishman who loved people and his charming personality was delightful. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, MN Twins and Vikings and in his early years always ready to share a beer with friends. A Memorial Service will be Friday, March 4th, 11am with visitation starting at 10am at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd. in Wayzata, followed by an interment at Ft. Snelling. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carondelet Catholic School or charity of your choice.
