Peter Van Dusen Obituary Peter C. Van Dusen passed away peacefully on March 2, 2021. Peter was born on June 5, 1936 to Marnie and Frederick Van Dusen in Minneapolis, MN. Preceded in death by his parents and twin sister, Pam Carpenter. Survived by his sisters Teita (Tom) Reveley and Nancy (Woody) Clookie; his children; Catherine Blonigen, Jim Van Dusen, and Laura (Bill) Hansen. Peter is also survived by his five adored and beloved grandchildren.
Peter was well known for his clever jokes and pranks; making friends quickly out of strangers with his many stories. He was an elite sailor, racing Ensigns on Lake Minnetonka and an exceptional hockey player in his day, playing for Blake and Amherst College. Peter was a huge supporter of womens hockey, including coaching, and eventually becoming the Womens Gopher teams biggest fan.
Peter will be buried at Lakewood Cemetery at a private internment Celebration of Life ceremony at a future date.
