Peter Kirby Obituary Peter Erickson Kirby age 41 of Woodbury, Minnesota passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2020. Peter is preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Erickson Atkinson. Peter is survived by the love of his life, Laurel Dierbeck Kirby of almost 2 years. They were married on June 10, 2018 in Wayzata, MN on the shores of Lake Minnetonka that Peter loved so much. Peter is lovingly remembered by his two sons, Jack (11) and Blake (8); mother, Debbie Kirby; brother, Brian Kirby and father, Dennis Kirby; aunt, Linda Atkinson Bing; uncles, Jimmy Atkinson and Jerry Kirby; stepchildren, Molly and Mitchell Zorn; brother-in-law Darren (Lisa) Dierbeck, nieces Abbie and Hallie Dierbeck; loving cousins, and many many friends. Born on December 6, 1978, Peter grew up in Wayzata and graduated from Wayzata High School. He went on to work in the auto industry and enjoyed a successful career for many years. Becoming a father was one of Peters greatest joys. He loved spending time with his boys and his wife Laurel was his everything. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if you would like to express your sympathy and make a gesture in memory of Peter, a memorial fund has been set up to assist the family with medical expenses, funeral costs and other unexpected expenses.
