Phyllis Chapple Obituary Chapple, Phyllis of Minnetonka, passed away February 13, 2007 at age 83. She was preceded in death by her husband, DeWitt Chapple who passed in 1990. She is survived by her son, George H. Chapple (who works at WCCO Radio under the pseudonym of Dark Star). Phyllis was born in Circleville, OH, graduated from Garden City High School in NY, and attended Miami of Ohio. She was a devoted mother and active in her community. She also volunteered at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital for over 20 years. Phyllis was a huge sports fan and the Minnesota Twins were her passion. A Celebration of the life of Phyllis Chapple will be conducted at David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata at 1:00 PM Monday, February 19th.
