Fennell, Ramona Mona (Simons) Age 52, of Orono, MN, formerly of Eden Prairie, MN. Survived by husband, Dan Fennell; daughter, Sarah Fennell; and son, Andrew (Andy) Fennell; mother, Kathleen Simons; siblings, Sarah (Jeff) Reed, Mary Ann (Lynn) Vea, Peter (Marcia Whited) Simons, John Simons, Paul (Maggie) Simons, Matt (Trista) Simons; father-in-law, Lowell Fennell; sisters-in-law, Jane (Larry) Kurzeka, and Colleen (Bill) Wigg; best friend, Jane Hansen; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition, a large group of nursing friends. Preceded in death, by her father, Marvin Simons; brothers, Henry and James; and mother-in-law, Mary Fennell. Mona grew up in Carroll, IA, and went to college at Viterbo University, LaCrosse, WI, was a RN at Abbott Northwestern in Minneapolis, and had a long career as a Clinical Reviewer at Medica. Mona and Dan raised their children in Eden Prairie, and last year moved to their dream home on Lake Minnetonka, in Orono, MN. Mona always drew a smile to the room and had an air of classy elegance which she portrayed in a quiet loving way. Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Saturday, October 3, 2009 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Faith Community, 630 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church and also 5-7 pm Friday, October 2, with a prayer service at 6:30 pm at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata.
