Richard Bengtson Obituary Richard L. (Dick) Bengtson of Wayzata passed away June 3, 2017 at the age of 84. Survived by his only child a daughter, JoAnn Johnson and grandchildren, Nicholas and Jordi Johnson. Also brothers Jack (Pat) of Mankato, Paul Donald (Shirley) of Hopkins, Sam of Scottsdale, AZ, sisters in Wabasha, MN, Susie (Gayle) Gillespie and Iva (Mickey) Nelson (Rollin Hall). Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Esther (Ohlerking) Bengtson, his wife Virginia (Temple) Bengtson and brother Tom Bengtson of Waterville, MN. Dick was born in Owatonna, MN, August 20, 1932. He graduated from Owatonna High School and Mankato State University with a Masters Degree. His years of teaching included two years in Lake Mills, Iowa and the remainder at Wayzata East Junior High in Wayzata, MN. Members of the Bengtson family and the Temple family attended a private family memorial and burial which took place at the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Faribault, MN on June 8, 2017.
