Richard Richard Sr Obituary Neuman, Richard Dick D. age 84, of Plymouth, formerly of Minnetonka, died May 3, 2007. Preceded in death by beloved wife, Anna (Oleston) Neuman; parents, Richard C. & Josephine (Duncan) Neuman, Adams, WI. Survived by loving wife, Helen (Ellsworth) Neuman; sons, Richard (Mary) Neuman, New Hope and Robert (Becky) Neuman, Chaska; daughters, Patricia (Dennis) Tiffany, Plymouth and Elizabeth (Mark) Jones, Hopkins; stepchildren, Tom (Nancy) Ellsworth, Excelsior, Jim (Cindy) Ellsworth, Plymouth, Roger Ellsworth, Fargo, ND, & Deidre (Greg) Hoffman, Champlain; grandchildren, Michael, Timothy & Brian Neuman, Anna & Amy Tiffany, Peter, Mark & Andrew Neuman, and Henry, Edward, William & Charles Jones; stepgrandchildren, Katie & Annie Ellsworth, Ryan Ellsworth, Emily & Jessica Hoffman; brother, Louis (Jean) Neuman, Riverview, MI; uncle, Malcolm C.Duncan, Mission Viejo, CA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Richard was raised in Adams County, Wisconsin and maintained a lifelong love for the Badger State. He was a veteran of World War II, attended Harvard University and graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1948 with a degree in economics. He was a District Sales Manager for the Studebaker Corporation for many years. He then became a mortgage analyst for Lutheran Brotherhood until his retirement in 1987. Richard was a longtime member of Minnetonka Lutheran Church, an avid golfer, and a faithful and loving husband, parent and grandfather who was devoted to his friends, family and church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Minnetonka Lutheran Church or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 8, from 6:00-8:00 pm at the David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata and one hour before the funeral service on Wednesday, May 9, at 11:00 am at Minnetonka Lutheran Church, 16023 Minnetonka Blvd., Minnetonka.
