Richard Schneider Obituary Schneider, Richard Cyril August 1, 1941 - November 27, 2007. Age 66, of Orono, died suddenly Tuesday, November 27th, 2007. Dick was born in Bancroft, Iowa to William and Colette Schneider, the oldest of 7 children. After graduating from Mankato State College, he began his career in the hardware and building industry. In 1970, Dick married Marcia Ness and together they raised two sons, Matt and Tom, in Plymouth, Minnesota. In 1997, he fulfilled a life-long dream of owning his own small business, Window and Door Resource. Dick's family was his highest priority. In addition to loving his wife of nearly 40 years, he taught his sons by example to be true gentlemen. Dick always took considerate care of the women in his life, from his mother and mother-in-law to his granddaughter. In addition, he lovingly welcomed his daughters-in-law into the family. He enjoyed welcoming others into his home with open arms, playing the perfect host to friends and family. He was often busy with home improvement projects, not just for his own family, but also for others who needed his help. Dick was an avid golfer and a fair, compassionate employer. He was easy-going and loving, and his quick wit will be missed by everyone. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marcia Schneider; sons, Matthew (Maren) Schneider and Thomas (Kelly) Schneider; granddaughter, Addisyn Schneider, and siblings, Sandra Schmitt, Russ Schneider, Diane Downs, Marlene Schneider, Carole Schneider, and Mike Schneider. Funeral service 11 AM SATURDAY, December 1 at Christ Lutheran Church, 5084 Main St. East, Maple Plain, with visitation 5-8 PM FRIDAY and 1 hour prior to service ALL AT CHURCH.
