Robert 'Bob' Daly Obituary Robert (Bob) F. Daly (1935 to 2025)
Robert was born in Minneapolis, MN on August 28th. 1935.
Preceded in death by parents Frank and Dorothy Daly, and brother Jim.
Graduated from Marshall High School in Minneapolis on 1953. He graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Business in 1958. After graduating he started working for Donnellys Printing Company in Chicago. Shortly after, he was drafted in the Army and served our country for 2 years in Hawaii. He served an additional 4 years in the Army Reserve.
After his discharge from the Army, he worked for Turnquist Paper Company as a printing salesman and eventually retired from Nationwide Paper Company in the year 2000 at the age of 65.
He met his wife Silvia in 1961, got married in 1964. They had 60 wonderful years together raising 3 children; Katherine, Michele (Bret), and Patrick (Amy). He was a very proud grandfather of Serena and Maria Nelson and Ryan and Emily Daly.
He will be missed by many including his brothers Tom (Patti) and Bill (Eileen) Daly, nephews and nieces, many of his neighbors, as well as his Marshall High School classmates of 1953 which company he enjoyed planning their bimonthly luncheons at Jaxs Restaurant in northeast Minneapolis.
He was a proud owner of a Cape Dory sailboat and loved sailing and watching sailboats on Lake Minnetonka.
He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church on Wayzata and St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church in Plymouth. He was a devout Catholic and a friend and mentor to many.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 25 at David Lee Funeral Home 1220 Wayzata Blvd. East, Wayzata, from 5-7 pm.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday, March 26 at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 105 Forestview Lane N, Plymouth MN 55441 at 11a.m. Interment to follow at St Marys Cemetery 4403 Chicago Ave. Minneapolis, Minnesota 55407.
