Robert Horton Obituary Horton, Robert William Bob Born May 4, 1943.Bob died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 27th, 2012 in Minnetonka, MN, at the age of 69. Preceded in death by parents, Lyle and Virginia, wife Bobbie, brother-in-law, Bob Brooks. Survived by daughter Mary, son Jim (Kim), step daughters, Jess Weiss and Angie (Chris) Heick, brothers Charles (Phyllis), Dennis, sisters, Karen (Don) Schultz and Mary and step mother, Delores (Bardy). Bob will be missed by grandchildren Eric and Zach Robertson, Taylor, Jake and Luke Horton and many other relatives and friends. Bob was born and raised in Rochester, MN. He graduated from Lourdes High School and went on to receive his B.S. degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota. He and his first wife Vicki, raised their children in the suburbs of Minneapolis. In the early 1980s, Bob moved to Dallas, Texas where he made it his home for the last 30 years. Bob had just recently moved back to Minneapolis to be with his family. We are very thankful to have had these past few months to share with him but we were hoping for many more years. Grandpa Bobyou will be deeply missed by so many! A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, MN. Visitation one hour prior and luncheon, celebration to follow at the home of Bobs daughter, Mary in Maple Grove. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimers Association (www.alz.org) which Bob was very passionate about since caring for his recently deceased wife Bobbie.
