Robert 'Bob' Kyllo Obituary Kyllo, Robert "Bob" S. of Plymouth, MN, and Surprise, AZ, died peacefully at home of natural causes surrounded by loved ones October 26, 2024.
Bob was born November 6, 1926, in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis and enlisted in the United States Navy. Bob proudly served the United States in World War 11 and, later, in the Korean War.
For more than 40 years, Bob worked as an independent manufacturers representative in the home furnishings industry, marketing and selling multiple furniture product lines to retail stores across many Rocky Mountain and Upper Midwest states. His business career ultimately led to the development of many longtime friend and family relationships.
Bob was also a 60-plus year member of St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church in Plymouth, MN, a decades-long member of the Lafayette Club in Orono, MN, and a longtime member of many other affinity organizations such as the American Legion, Sons of Norway and Elks Club.
He particularly enjoyed gathering, socializing, and joking with his friends - especially when playing his favorite golf, gin rummy, and bridge games - and attending furniture markets around the country.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Henry and Clara (Grane) Kyllo, and siblings, Henry Kyllo and Miriam Hecht.
Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, Marian; his children, Kimberly (Tom Williams) Kyllo, Tom (Mary) Kyllo, Berit (Michael) Francis, David (Paula) Kyllo, and his six grandchildren, Wyatt Williams, Evan, Carter, Crosbie and Marit Francis, and Grace Kyllo; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
The family would like to express its sincere thanks to the hospice team of Allina Health, the support team of Senior Helpers (Lake Minnetonka Area), and the VA Benefits Administration team for assisting with Bob's care over the past 6 months.
