Fisher, Robert (Bob “Shoebob”)

Age 78, of Wayzata, passed away October 1, 2026. Preceded in death by parents and one sister. As owner and operator of Bob’s Shoe Repair where he “saved soles and heeled people” for decades, and as originator of the IOCP Sleepout, and many other nurturing roles, Bob leaves to his community and people he loved dearly a legacy of friendship and service – and encouragement for each of us to likewise obey the Voice within to “Do something good… .”. His latest Inspiration led him for the last few years to tell everyone he encountered that he loved them – which he did through the last words he barely mustered to his final precious visitors. Survived by wife Terrisa; son, Jeremy (Jane); daughters, Jennifer (Kelvin) Schmidt and Jessica; stepsons, Joel III (Amber) and Jacob Miller; 14+ grandchildren; 7 siblings; countless other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday 10/23/26 from 4 to 7 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Blvd.; Celebration of Life service will be on Saturday 10/24 at 10 AM at Wayzata Community Church, 125 Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata; a light lunch at the church will follow.
