Robert Slanga Obituary Slanga, Robert J. age 76, of Minnetonka, passed away March 8, 2007. Preceded in death by parents, Steven brother, Stanley. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Marge; son, Peter (Ann); brother, Edward (Betty); many other loving relatives and friends. Bob served in the Marine Corps as a combat engineer during the Korean war and also in the Marine Corps Reserve. He was a member of Carpenters Union Local #7 for 22 years and retired from a second career as maintenance engineer at The Church of St. Mary of the Lake. His unexpected sense of humor and pride in his workmanship endeared him to many. Visitation 4-7 PM TODAY, with prayers at 6:30 PM at David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Monday at The Church of St. Mary of the Lake (105 Forestview Lane), Plymouth. Visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment at a later date.
