Ronald Engel Obituary Engel, Ronald Ron age 86, of Wayzata, went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2007. Preceded in death by his wife, Lucille. Survived by daughter, Patricia Wright; son, Gordy and his wife Nancy; grandchildren, Nicole Chose (Adam), Keri Rouen (Noah), Christine Engel, Beth Dougherty (Joel), Kathryne Engel and Michael Engel; great-granddaughter, Josephine Chose; sisters, Doris Saul (Richard) and Gladys Reisinger and brother Raynard (Donna). Ron graduated from West Waterloo Iowa High School, served in the Navy on a landing craft from September 1942-1945 during WWII and was involved in seven invasions. He started his menswear clothing career in 1937 in Waterloo. Ron moved to Wayzata in 1955 to be the manager and partner of The Foursome Clothing and Shoes and later became the sole owner. He was a member of Wayzata Community Church, Wayzata Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Zuhrah Shrine, Northwest Buyers and Jobbers and American Legion Post #118, Wayzata. A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Wayzata Community Church. Gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service at church.
