Obituary

Ronald Evje Obituary Ronald Gale Evje, Born August 8, 1936, in Fargo, North Dakota. He is preceded in death by his parents, Victor Evje and Agnes (Stenson) Evje, his infant daughter Kristin and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife of fifty seven years, Elizabeth (Haas) Evje, son Eric ( Fridley, MN,) daughter Martha Lopez Evje and husband Rodolfo Lopez (Dundas MN), grandsons Aaron and Nicholas, sister Barbara Erickson and husband Peder (St Louis Park), nieces Vicky Loeffler and husband Paul ( Corpus Christi, TX), Brenda Erickson ( St. Paul, MN,), Laura Burkhardt ( St Paul, MN), and several cousins. Ron grew up in Fargo, North Dakota, graduating from Fargo Central High School. He attended NDSU for two years before enlisting in the Army. He met his wife Liz while they were both working at Rosemount Engineering. They were married in July 1965. They lived in Minneapolis, Eagan and Minnetonka, MN. He and Liz enjoyed traveling, and took many trips throughout the United States, and into Mexico. Ron spent most of his working years at Torit/Donaldson where he enjoyed the friendship of his co-workers. After retiring in 1998, he became very involved as the main "babysitter" for his grandsons. He was also their biggest fan, attending as many of their sporting events as he could, no matter where or what the weather was. Watching the boys grow up was his great pleasure. Ron was known for his dry sense of humor and fighting spirit, having fought through and surviving many complicated medical challenges. To the very end, he kept his spirits up and didnt complain. Ron passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, at 6:20 am. While we will all miss him, we are at peace knowing that he is no longer suffering and is with his Lord. Ron will be cremated and his final resting place will be at Fort Snelling. His interment will be at a later date
