Ronald Hanson Obituary Hanson, Ronald Wayne of Eden Prairie. Born May 24, 1942 of Towner, ND passed away unexpectedly at home in his sleep August 31, 2014. Preceded in death by parents Carl G. and Agnes P. Hanson; siblings Carl Fred Hanson, Patricia Dahlen and Peter Hanson. Survived by his wife of 36 years, Wendy Hanson; children, Terry (Angela), Christopher Wade (Sara), Vicky Kern, Todd (Don), DeeAnn Lindstrom (Chris), Renee Buchholz (Steve), Randy (Sara); grandchildren, Andrea and Alexis Hanson, Casey, Megan (Monte), Drew and Baily Kern, Olivia and Emma Hanson; sister, Audrey Morrison (Jack) as well as other relatives and friends. Ron graduated from Towner High School in 1960 and went through Army basic training at Fort Belvoir in Alexandria, Virginia. He was the top student, ever, of electrical motor and generator repair. In the army he served in Korea from 1961-1962, Butzbach Germany 1964-1967 and was honorably discharged in 1968. Ron retired from Professional Instruments Company after more than 45 years. He enjoyed building race engines and mentoring several racers. Ron also enjoyed traveling and visiting family. He was an avid Sudoko and crossword player which helped him retain his incredible memory and mental sharpness. He was a very loving, generous, and caring individual. Funeral service 1 PM Saturday, September 6, 2014 at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard, Wayzata with visitation beginning at 11 AM. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery at Noon on Tuesday. Facts Born: May 24, 1942 Death: August 31, 2014
