Rosalyn 'Rose' Mott Obituary Rosalyn "Rose" Mott (Sanello), 84, passed away on June 24th, 2024. She was born in Chicago, IL on January 19th, 1940 to Michael and Marian Sanello and raised in the family home she shared with her parents and grandparents in the parish of St Mary of the Angels. This is the place where she began her journey of faith and love of family.
While working at Prudential Insurance in downtown Chicago, Rose met the love of her life, Sid, and they were married on October 1st, 1960. Sid and Rose celebrated 63 years of marriage and lovingly raised their 8 children. She was at her happiest with her family surrounded around her kitchen table, often long after dinner was done. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Although small in stature, she had a huge heart and taught her children to care for their community and the world. She loved to feed the birds, deer and other animal life that came to her home. She was known to give this advice before you walked out the door of her home: "Be good and have fun, in that order".
Rose is survived by her loving husband Sid, children Linda (Jesse), John (Lisa), Tom (Jane), Jim (Meg), Peter, Jennifer (Brad), and Kevin, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother, Vince (Patty) Sanello, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
