Rose Klobuchar Obituary Klobuchar, Rose. Born Rose Heuberger, March 17, 1926 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Margaret and Martin Heuberger. Died August 2, 2010. Married former Star Tribune columnist Jim Klobuchar in 1954. Survived by daughters, Amy (husband John) and Meagan; granddaughter, Abigail and brother Dick (wife Jane). An elementary schoolteacher for many years, at the age of 70 she was still enthusiastically teaching a class of 30 second-graders. She was a cello player, hiker, and fantastic teacher (Wayzata Elementary School Teacher of the Year, 1992-1993). She was fond of butterflies, Swiss food, and watching C-SPAN. She loved her family and many long-time friends. Visitation 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 8, at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Memorial service 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 9, at Wayzata Community Church, 125 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to Camp Tanadoona (Camp Fire USA, 3100 W. Lake St., Suite 100, Minneapolis, MN 55416; campfireusa-mn.org) or Minnesota Landscape Arboretum (3675 Arboretum Drive, Chaska, MN 55318; www.arboretum.umn.edu).
