Obituary

Ross Fisher Obituary Ross Adam Fisher, 60, of Stone Lake, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025, after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his wife and sons. Ross was born on May 13, 1965, in Rockford, Illinois to Dorian and Betty Fisher. He graduated from East High School-1983, in Rockford, Illinois and from Iowa State University-1987 in Ames, Iowa, with a bachelors degree in business and marketing. Ross worked in the hydraulics industry for 37 years. He worked for JS Barnes, Sauer-Danfoss, JEM, and most recently at Bucher Hydraulics in Elgin, Illinois as a Regional Sales Manager. Ross married his high school sweetheart, Karen, in 1989. Together, they raised two wonderful sons. Ross loved what he called, "The 3Ms"-music, muskies and muscle cars!" Ross was an avid musky fisherman and fished at any opportunity. He loved fishing at Lake of the Woods, and around the Hayward Lakes area in Wisconsin. He also was a collector of rock/roll albums and played music daily. Ross went to so many rock concerts and loved seeing one of his favorite bands, Cheap Trick, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Brooklyn. He bought and restored his beloved high school muscle car, a red Buick GS 1969. Ross was also a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks. Nothing made him happier than seeing his Cubs win the 2016 World Series! He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen (Kennedy); his children, Aidan (Lindsey Wind), and Carson; his sister, Linda (Fisher) Johansen, his brother in law, Jim Johansen, his brother, Rory Fisher and his sister in law, Nadine (Thiel) Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorian & Betty (Miller) Fisher, his nephew, Aaron Fisher, his mother-in-law, Mary (Stockley) Kennedy, his cousins and several aunts and uncles.
