Russell Smith Obituary Smith, Russell C. age 91 of Wayzata died May 6, 2014. Local real estate appraiser for many years. Russell was an avid gardener and active in many gardening clubs as well as a computer interest group. Preceded in death by his son, Phillip; daughter-in-law, Judy; grandson, Rusty and great-grandson Christopher Peters. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Janet Smith; children, Greg Smith (Janis), Gretchen Smith, Bruce Smith (Terrie); grandchildren, Charlie Smith (Tasha), Matt Smith, Anna Sutton (Paul), Lisa Peters (Mike), Robert Smith (Lisa) and Kristen Smith; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Kylie Peters, Samarah Smith, Evelyn and Leo Smith and Henry Sutton; sister, Ruth Boggs (John); sister-in-law, Marge Smith as well as other loving relatives and friends. Memorial service 11 AM Monday, May 12, 2014 at Wayzata Community Church, 125 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata. Visitation 5-7 PM Sunday at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata and one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Hennepin County Master Gardeners.
