Russell Waters Obituary Russell C. Waters, 68, of Plymouth, MN passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, surrounded by his family. Russ was born February 7, 1954 in Minneapolis, MN to Russell and Jean (Kirk) Waters and adopted at age 2 months by Harold and Sadie Waters after the death of his mother. They lived in Mitchell, SD where he graduated from high school. After attending college for a year, Russ joined the Navy. After the Navy, Russ married Fran Ahlers on June 21, 1980. They started a family and would eventually have 4 girls and move to Plymouth, MN where they built a life together. He had a giant personality and loved his family very much. Russ is survived by his wife, Fran, four children: Jennifer (Tim) Roufs, Ham Lake, MN; Beth Waters, Plymouth, MN; Amanda Waters, Minneapolis, MN; Samantha (Steven) Marden, Champlin, MN; 7 grandchildren, Isabelle, Eva, Elyse, Addie, Teddy, Charlie, and Annie; sisters, Mary (Richard) Gowdy, Elizabeth (Carlton) Babcock, Judith Schmidt. Russ was preceded by his brother, Greg, sister, Maxine, and granddaughter, Leilah. Visitation is from 5:00 7:00 pm Friday, May 6th at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 Wayzata Blvd East in Wayzata, MN. Services will be held Saturday, May 7th at Plymouth Covenant Church, 4300 Vicksburg Lane, at 10am.
