Ruth Doyle Obituary Doyle, Ruth E. age 87 of Minnetonka passed away Monday, December 21, 2015. Preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Jim; their son, Paul; grandson, Johnny Doyle; parents, Alice and Einer Jorgensen; brother, Paul; sister-in-law, Mary Ellin; brother-in-law, Joe Doyle. Survived by her children, Michael (Leslie), Christopher (Julie); daughter, Elizabeth Molland (Doug); grandchildren, Sam and Jack Doyle, Billy Vesel (Christy), Joey and Brian Doyle, Rachel, Sarah, Gillian Molland; great-grandson, Alex Vesel; sister-in-law, Audrey and life-long friend, Maggie Lichtenauer. Ruth always said she had a wonderful childhood growing up in Hopkins. She graduated from Hopkins High School, attended Drake University and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors Degree in Education. Ruth was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She taught in Big Fork and Long Prairie before her marriage to Jim in 1954. Ruth started working at North Junior High where she stayed until her retirement 25 years later. Ruth said that North was a special place with wonderful staff and students. After their retirements Ruth and Jim enjoyed many wonderful trips-they traveled throughout the world, from New Zealand to Thailand to all parts of Europe. Ruth kept busy with volunteering. She was on the Board of Crippled Child Relief and on the Board of the Womans Club of Hopkins, where she also served as president for three terms. Ruth also volunteered at Chapel View Care Center. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, 155 County Road 24, Medina with visitation one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Holy Name Cemetery.
