Sally Jorgensen Obituary
Jorgensen, Sally Mae (Colberg) of Plymouth, died of kidney cancer at her home surrounded by her family on Sat., Dec 9. Born May 3, 1937 in Dassel, MN. She graduated from Litchfield and St. Cloud beauty school. She married Raymond Jorgensen of Hutchinson and they have 3 children. Sally will be remembered fondly for her devotion to family, friendships, flowers, books and toy poodles. Her quick wit and contagious smile were inspiring to others to live life to the fullest with a wide-open heart. Sally's patience, compassion and strength was the key to her passion for everything she became involved with. Sally was an enthusiastic, passionate and quiet leader in her parish, diocese and the early Episcopal Cursillo movement, instrumental in the creation of MN's copyrighted songbook that brought the joy of music. She enjoyed playing the guitar on early Episcopal and Lutheran weekends in MN/WI along with Camp Lawton. She also found time to volunteer at Methodist Hosp & work at Bachmans for 10 yrs. Sally was an encouraging and supporting spouse, mother and grandmother. Her winter get- away to AZ along with her many grandchildren and Natl. Park visits were highlights throughout the years. She was blessed to host a small prayer group of women of 35 years that was affectionately named The Sisterhood"". We are honored to have had Sally in our lives. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, John and Velma Colberg (Hutton) of Litchfield. She is deeply missed by her husband of 47 years, Raymond; children, Cindy Palm (Mike), Ron Jorgensen (Charlotte), Sue Damen (Henk); grandchildren, Jamie, Lisa, Katie, David, Jeremy, Adam, Hendrik, Patrik and Laurien; her dog, Angel; and her many friends and relatives. A visitation will be held on Monday, Dec 11 at the David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata from 5-8 PM. The Funeral Service will be held on Tues., Dec 12 at 11 AM at Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church, 4900 Nathan Ln, Plymouth 763-559-3144.
