Sally Valene Obituary Sally Louise Valene, age 75 passed away at home in Deephaven, MN in the evening of January 28, 2016. Sally was born on April 19, 1940 to Evelyn and Guy Williams and was raised in Oxford, England. She came to the United States and became a U.S. citizen. She married John Valene and resided in Deephaven for the past 30+ years. Sally is survived by her husband, John; son, Scott (Patrice) and four grandchildren, McKenna, Connor, Riley and Jack Valene of Maple Grove; stepson, Murray Valene (Geri) of New Orleans, LA; stepdaughter, Valerie Valene of Gypsum, CO; sister, Ingrid Toolan (Eric) of England; nieces, Margaret of South Africa and Sally McNae of England; nephew, Robert McNae (Angilea) of Wayzata. Sally had a sweet tooth and a generous heart. The only thing she loved more than a good dessert was animals. Sally fed the birds and deer in her yard daily and dearly loved her two dogs and cat. She also enjoyed spending time at the racetrack watching her horses race and was particularly fond of the gray horses. A very special thanks to Sallys care team: Missy, Amelia, Diana, Alex, and especially Barb Cummings-Ward. A memorial service will be held at David Lee Funeral Home 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd. in Wayzata on Friday, February 5, 2016, at 6:00 pm.
