Sam Montgomery Obituary Montgomery, Sam Ross age 65, of Medina, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 7, 2007. Sam was a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He enjoyed being a member of Wayzata Evangelical Free Church. Sam had been a member of the Society of Mining Engineers, the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and a Professional Engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Belva Montgomery. Sam is survived by his loving wife of almost 43 years, Diane Lyn Montgomery; son, Clayton Charles Montgomery of Medina; daughter, Sharilyn Jones and her husband Allen Jones of Bristol, TN; two precious grandchildren, Parker Ross Montgomery of Medina and Sophia Lyn Jones of Bristol, TN; sister, Ann Gerteis and husband Robert of Evergreen, Colorado; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service 11 AM Saturday at Wayzata Evangelical Free Church (705 Highway 101 N.). The family will receive family and friends 5-8 PM Friday at David Lee Funeral Home in Wayzata and one hour prior to the service at church. Interment Green Moss Cemetery, Marshall, Illinois.
