Sandra Wayne Obituary Wayne, Sandra "Sandi" Kay, 71, of Henderson, NV, passed away Feb. 1, 2012 in Las Vegas from a viral flu. She was born Sept. 29, 1940 in Kiester, MN and was a 42 year resident of Minnetonka. She retired in 1993 from the banking world and spent her winters at Sun City Anthem in Henderson, NV and her summers in Minnetonka, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Gladys Johnson. Surviving is her best friend and loving husband of 49 years, Walt and her brother, Gary and his wife, Merrilee Johnson. Sandi enjoyed physical sports and was an optimistic Gopher football fan. Her smile and zest for life was infectious. She lived life as a positive person. If you met her you instantly liked her. Sandi was twice a survivor of cancer. She will be missed by many friends and relatives who felt her love and radiance. Visitation begins at 11:30 A.M. with services at 12 noon Saturday, February 11, at Lakewood Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to one of Sandi's charities: University of Minnesota Cancer Research Center, Ronald McDonald House, Humane Society, Children's Home Society of St. Paul and TPT television of St. Paul.
