Shane Taylor Obituary Shane Thomas Taylor, age 45, of Maple Grove Minnesota, tragically passed away far too soon due to a tragic fire at his fathers home. His loss leaves a deep ache in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Born and raised in Plymouth, Shane graduated from Wayzata High School with the Class of 1999.
Shane was a loving father, husband, and friend. He adored his wife, Kimberly, and cherished his time with their three children: Tobin (16), Faith (14), and Neveah (8). He celebrated their accomplishments and beamed with pride at each milestone in their lives.
Shane had a love for hockey skating before he could walk. Hockey was not just a sport to him, but a passion that shaped his life. He went on to attend St. Johns University, where he continued playing hockey with grit and determination.
He received the "Most Inspirational Player" award all four years while earning his degree in business. Known for his fierce competitiveness on the ice, often finding himself in the penalty boxShane carried that same energy, resilience, and love of the game into every part of his life.
Shane will be remembered for his contagious laugh, love for family, friends and community. His laugh and sense of humor will be missed at gatherings as that brought people together.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, his father, Tom Taylor, and his sister, Julie.
Survived and deeply missed by; his loving wife, Kimberly, their children Tobin (16), Faith (14) & Neveah (8). Mother Mary & stepfather Doug, sister Jessica (Matt), and their children, Jake and goddaughter Addie, brother Kurt (Cheryl), stepbrothers Justin Novy his son Devon, Keith Novy (Melanie) with their children, Madison, Lane, Wyatt, father- and mother-in-law, Barb and Brent Fossum, brother-in-law, Grant Fossum (Maria), and their children, Noah, Ezra, Roman, and Amaya.
Shanes life, though heartbreakingly cut short was filled with love, laughter, faith, and passion. His legacy lives on in his family, his friends, and the countless lives he touched.
A memorial service & celebration of life will be held Wednesday, September 3rd at Church of the Open Door, 9060 Zanzibar Ln N, Maple Grove, MN 55311.
Visitation begins at 5:00 pm & service 6pm. Following the service, please join the family for fellowship and desserta sweet way to honor Shane, who loved sweets and the joy of sharing them together.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are gratefully accepted to the Taylor family to help offset financial burdens during this difficult and unexpected loss.
