Obituary

Sharon Leahy Obituary Age 69, of Wayzata, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 9th, after a short struggle with cancer. Preceded in death by mother Catherine Christopher, father Charles Christopher, and brother Don Christopher. She is survived by husband Thomas, daughters Angie (Pepe) Leahy Esteve and Stephie (Frank) Leahy Trujillo, son Jay (Krista), grandchildren Casandra, Toms, Elisa, Miguel, Oscar, Hugo, and August, sisters Elaine Murphy and Connie Cosgrove, of Dubuque, and brother Norbert Christopher of Stillwater. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, she worked for many years as a teacher, paralegal, and realtor. Sharon was a gifted homemaker who enjoyed creating beautiful homes for her family. A devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, she had a spirit both independent and nurturing, the eye of an artist, the ear of a musician, and a heart kind and wide enough to set anyone at ease. Her quick humor, loving nature, and knack for seeing the best in people will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, August 14, 11 AM at The Church of St. Therese, 18323 Minnetonka Blvd, Deephaven. Visitation Monday, 5-8 PM at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd., Wayzata, and one hour prior to mass at the church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Shorewood.
