of Plymouth Minnesota passed away peacefully following a two-week hospitalization on Sunday May 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving husband, daughters and six siblings. Sharon was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Born in Detroit Michigan, she was the eldest of the seven children of John and Mary Ulrich Fallon (both deceased). Sharon attended Gesu Parish grade school in Detroit and after moving to Grosse Pointe, MI, she graduated Dominican High School and Michigan State University. She began her retail career in 1967 as a buyer for J.L. Hudson where she met her husband, Jim. They were married in Grosse Pointe, 1970. In 1984 their careers with Dayton Hudson relocated the family to Minneapolis. Sharon retired in 2004 after 37 years of service. She was active in the Junior League of Minneapolis. She enjoyed many trips to the beaches of Hilton Head South Carolina. In addition to Sudoku, she was a gourmet cook and true foodie exploring fine restaurants. She delighted in Irish coffees, enjoyed whiskey sours, especially when prepared by her personal mixologist, Jim. Despite being a MSU Spartan, Sharon remained an avid Notre Dame football fanatic. She is survived by Jim, her devoted husband of 45 years, her two daughters, Beth (Nate) Sund of La Jolla, CA, Lauren (Jeff) Richardson of Maple Grove, MN, and her two beloved grandchildren Matthew and Natalie Richardson. Also surviving are six siblings, Patty (Donald) Nichols, Gail (Bob) Sewick, Michael (Anne) Fallon, Barbara Trombley, Joan (Bob) Simmons, Janet (Jay) Miner, five nieces and three nephews. Sharons life will be celebrated Thursday June 2, 2016, 11am St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 630 E Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata MN with visitation beginning one hour prior to Mass. Private interment St. Patricks Cemetery Maple Grove. In lieu of flowers, donations to Arthritis Foundation or St Bartholomew Church would be preferred.
