Sharon Taragos Obituary Taragos, Sharon Lee a loving wife, mom and grandmother, age 80 of Plymouth died July 25, 2021. Born July 11, 1941 in Albert Lea, Minnesota and graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1959. In 1961 she won Miss Redwood Falls when she was a sophomore at Mankato State University. Throughout high school and college she played the flute as she was a talented musician. Sharon graduated from Mankato State in 1962 with a degree in English and a minor in Spanish. She taught Spanish at Hopkins North Junior High for 35 years where her students knew her Seora Taragos. Sharon married Tom Taragos in 1969 and in 1972 she received her Masters from Mankato State University. Her pride and joy were her two kids, Mitch and Jane. As her kids grew up she loved to watch Mitch play football and Jane play fastpitch softball. After her retirement she volunteered at Methodist Hospital where she was given the Earl Dresser Award for her volunteer work. A special thank you to Serenity Memory Care in Dilworth, MN for all of the love they gave to Sharon. Sharon is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Mitch (Erin); daughter, Jane (Jeff) Morris; grandkids, Mason and Kellan and grand dogs, Louie and Quinn. Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2021 at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Road 6, Plymouth with visitation one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials may be directed to the church.
