Stanley Skytte Obituary Skytte, Stanley J. age 88, of Wayzata, passed away peacefully November 18, 2023. Preceded in death by his parents, Hilding Nathanael and Ruth Karen (Berggren) Skytte, and older sister, Nancy.
Stans faith in God guided his life. He prioritized and took great joy in his family and friends. He devotedly served and supported them in their life adventures, in addition to serving and supporting his church community and missions around the world. He was loving, kind, caring, fun, approachable, and humble. He took a genuine interest in the lives of everyone he met.
Stan was a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota where he received a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served as an officer in the United States Navy before beginning a 37-year career as an engineer at Honeywell.
Stan is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sharon; children, Kirstin (Todd) Lindquist, Eric (Valeria) Skytte, Ingrid (Chip) Huber; grandchildren, Mari Lindquist, Gustav (Maddie) Lindquist, Jakob Lindquist, Olivia Huber, Trey Huber, Annika Lindquist and Elsa Lindquist; great-grandchild, Lena Lindquist.
Funeral service will be held at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel (3600 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN) on December 2 at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be at the Chapel for one hour before the service. Private interment will immediately follow the service, with the immediate family only.
