Suzanne Goodwin Obituary Goodwin, Suzanne Known as "Boppa" to her grandkids and better than Santa when it came to shopping, Suzanne was a renowned hostess, Elton John devotee, impeccable dresser with a huge warm heart. Our hearts are saddened but spirits buoyed by a life lived to its fullest as we share the passing of Suzanne Goodwin of Deephaven, MN. Beloved wife, devoted mother and grandmother, loyal friend, trusted colleague, Suzanne died August 20, 2019 at the age of 75. Beset by a rare and aggressively fast disease, she lived her last weeks with courage and dignity, now gone too soon. Suzanne was born on June 1, 1944 in Minneapolis, MN to Lucille and Wilbur Sheets. The first of 6 children, Suzanne graduated from Hopkins High School in 1962. Suzanne earned her first degree in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota and her second degree fifteen years later in Interior Design. On June 16, 1972 she married the love of her life, David, and for the next 47 years they built a wonderful life together. By founding Suzanne Goodwin and Associates Interior Design in 2001, Suzanne created a venue to express her extraordinary design talent and formed lasting friendships with her clients and fellow designers. Suzannes greatest joys were hosting Sunday dinners and boat rides with her family, spending part of the winter in her self-designed home in Del Mar, California, sailing the world and experiencing new travel adventures. Suzanne was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille. She is survived by her father, Wilbur Sheets; loving husband David; daughter, Lise Crosby and husband Slater; sons, Josh Stahl and wife Mary, Ben Goodwin and wife Heather and grandchildren, Emma, Sophie, Mia, Grace, Isabella, Gunnar and Mimi. Suzannes presence brought light into a room and her kindness, generosity and love of a good cucumber vodka martini will live on as an example we will follow. A gathering and remembrance will take place Sunday, September 22 at 2:00pm at Bearpath Golf and Country Club in Eden Prairie, MN.
