Thomas Glynn Obituary Tom passed away peacefully at the age of 94 with family by his side. Tom grew up in Columbia Heights and in July of 1940, Tom enlisted and was posted to 2-E-10 San Diego to serve in the United States Marines. During his service the war escalated and in August of 1942, he participated in actions against the enemy in the South Pacific (1942-1943). After honorable discharge, Tom returned stateside before returning to New Zealand where he established a Mobil Gas Station. Tom returned to Minnesota in 1981 with wife, Barbara where he joined his brother, Jack at Glynco Plastics where he worked until his retirement when he joined Barbara in her business. Tom was a Past Master (1987) and proud member of Wayzata Masonic Lodge #205. Tom was preceded in death by parents, Ira and Anna Glynn; first wife, Zona; son, Michael Glynn; siblings, Eleanor Hogan, John (Jack) Glynn and James Glynn. Survived by wife of 36 years, Barbara; children, Donna Glynn and Sandra (Kevin) Allott of New Zealand, and Nicola MacQueen (Paul Huss) of Minneapolis; grandchildren, Victoria (Vaughan) Wi Repa, Michael (Sarah) Allott, all of New Zealand, Lisa (Corey) Gleason of Minneapolis and great grandchildren of New Zealand, Braydan, Bailey, and Taylin, sister in law, Donna Glynn and many nieces and nephews. Tom was a proud member of the United States Marine Core serving in WWII and we thank him for his service. Celebration of Life 5-7 PM Tuesday October, 11th at David Lee Funeral Home of Wayzata, 1220 East Wayzata Boulevard. Private interment at Fort Snelling Cemetery. Memorials preferred to donor's choice.
