Thu Tran Obituary Age 67, of St. Louis Park, passed away peacefully after a long battle with end stage lung disease on December 27, 2011. Preceded in death by parents and 2 brothers. After a lifetime of industrious hardwork, Thu retired from Spectrum plastics in 2005. During the Vietnam War, he received the US Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service as a Sergeant First Class of the Army of the Republic of Vietnam. He was a generous husband, father, grandfather and friend, willing to make any sacrifice to help friends and family, and had a passion for fishing. Survived by wife, Hieu; sons, Cuong (Angela) Booth-Tran, Hau (Karena) Tran, John (Sarah) Tran, and Thomas Tran; daughter, Taylor (Theartrice) Tran; grandchildren, Gavin Booth-Tran, Madison and Henry Tran, and Jayden James; brother, Hoang Tran; sister, Cau Pham; many other relatives, as well as friends. Visitation Friday 5-7pm at David Lee Funeral Home, 1220 E. Wayzata Blvd, Wayzata, and 1 hour prior to Mass.
